Dr. Pawan Nyachhyon, BDS, FCPS
Dr. Pawan Nyachhyon received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Sindh in 1998. After being licensed as a dentist in Alberta, he began practicing general dentistry at Westmount Dental.
Dr. Nyachhyon is committed to provide quality dental care for the well-being of his patients. His distinctive blend of artistic and technical dexterity has succeeded to create a long-lasting smile in many patients.
While an active member of Canadian Dental Association and Alberta Dental Association, he is a stanch supporter of lifetime learning to stay abreast with current trends in dentistry in order to improve his patient’s oral health.
Dr. Alrasheed Hadi, BDS
I joined Westmount Dental in March of 2015, and I feel extremely privileged to be a part of such a wonderful team. I received the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from Kuban Medical Academy, Krasnodar, Russia in 1997. Since then I have attended various dental conferences to continually update my knowledge and skills and stay afloat of new techniques and technologies in the dental field.
I am a certified Invisalign® provider and have completed numerous cases with excellent results. I am a member in good standing of Alberta Dental Association and College. I am fluent in English, Russian, and Arabic, and I would be happy to be your dentist as well as a translator if such need arises.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and playing volleyball.
He is friendly, caring, and confident and looks forward to building ongoing relationships with his patients in Edmonton.
Dr. Nyachhyon loves to read, travel, and listen to the music. He volunteers in his community events, and in spare time he enjoys swimming, yoga, and spending time with his wife and children.
John de la Cruz, DD – Denturist
I graduated from the Denturist Technology program at NAIT in 2012 and since then have been providing patients with complete and partial dentures. By understanding that each patient has different needs, I specialize in making dentures that are functional while allowing patients to regain their confident smile.
I pride myself to ensure each patient is content and feels comfortable at every appointment. I believe design, technique, and communication, are key elements to a successful outcome.

My interest includes being active as a part-time yogi and I am a seasonal marathon runner. In contrast, I do enjoy being a couch potato while channel surfing or binge watching episodes on Netflix. I also love food and I’m constantly eating!
Dr. Adrian Hofmann graduated from the University College Cork Faculty of Dentistry. He completed a Master of Science in Cell and Systems Biology and a double major in biochemistry and human biology, graduating magna cum laude at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Hofmann is committed to continual education and lifelong learning to provide the best care possible to his patients. He believes patient interaction is the most enjoyable part of dentistry and provides a relaxing environment for his patients, ensuring they have a safe, successful, and enjoyable visit. In addition to common dental procedures such as fillings, root canal treatments, crowns/bridges and veneers, Dr. Hofmann also provides Invisalign, botox and wisdom tooth extraction.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hofmann started dental health outreach programs in Ireland, reaching out to low-income communities to provide oral health care. He enjoys spending time outside, gardening, hiking, camping and playing soccer.
Dr. Caleb Wielemaker grew up in New Zealand. His family immigrated to Kelowna BC when he was in middle school. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Trinity Western University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of British Columbia. He currently serves full-time as a military dentist at CFB Edmonton and enjoys his part-time position at Westmount Dental Centre.
His work at the military specialty clinic allows him to closely work with a prosthodontist, oral surgeon, periodontist and advanced general dentist who provide high-quality mentorship in their respective disciplines. This corresponds well with his motto of being a lifelong learner in dentistry and striving to provide the best comprehensive care possible.
In his spare time, he loves continuing his dental education, hiking, and other various outdoor hobbies. Most important to him are his wife and children.
I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba where I studied Microbiology and Immunology followed by obtaining my Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Manitoba.
I spent my time working in rural Manitoba practicing all fields of dentistry with a focus on oral surgery root canals, and dental implants.
I moved to Edmonton in 2022 and continue to deliver quality care in order to meet our patient's expectations.
If I'm not working at Westmount Dental Centre then you can find me outdoors skiing/snowboarding, watching football and hockey, or out trying a new restaurant.
Dr. Aaron Fong was born and raised in Edmonton and graduated from the University of Alberta Dental School. Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor of Science and Physiology with Honors.
Dr. Fong is a firm believer that maintaining one's skill and knowledge through continuing education courses is paramount. As such, he is constantly involved in study clubs and courses to further advance his dental skills. Dr. Fong is fluent in English, Cantonese and some Mandarin.
Outside of being a dentist, Dr. Fong volunteers in his community such as Hope Mission Edmonton Downtown. He enjoys the outdoors, hanging with friends and numerous sports including volleyball and squash.
Dr. Rosen Karanov
I grew up in Edmonton and graduated from Ross Sheppard High School across the street.
I attended the University of Alberta for my undergraduate education and in 2016 I moved to sunny Australia to pursue my dental training in tropical North Queensland. I spent years working close to the Great Barrier Reef, as well as practicing in Tasmania and the Western Australian Outback. I have spent the entirety of my career in rural areas working with difficult cases and complicated dental histories, giving me the scope and confidence to provide a catered plan of care along the entire spectrum of patient needs. I recently moved back to my familiar community of Edmonton and am now enjoying all the city and state has to offer. Outside the office I enjoy staying active in many ways including riding motorcycles on road and off-road trails.
Dr. Kalim Nafisiyazdi
Dr. Kalim's academic journey began at The University of Calgary where he completed a Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree with Distinction. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Sydney. Dr. Kalim is dedicated to actively listening to his patients, investing time to understand their desires and requirements, all while maintaining a welcoming demeanor to ensure a comfortable experience at the dentist's office.
Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Kalim enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his dog. He also likes to watch movies, travel, and swim (when the weather permits!).
Dr. Maryam Abtahi
​Dr Abtahi is a General Dentist who received her first dental degree from University of Sharjah in Dubai, and a second dental degree from University of Alberta in 2020.
Beyond dentistry, Dr Abtahi has three master degrees in business from Silicon Valley, and Dubai.
She enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry and takes time to educate her patients about their oral health and options available to them.
During her spare time, Dr Abtahi loves to read poetry, go for walks and spend time with her family.
Dr Abtahi is fluent in English, Farsi and can get by with Spanish.
