  • Dr. Kalim Nafisiyazdi

    General Dentist

    Dr. Kalim's academic journey began at The University of Calgary where he completed a Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree with Distinction. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Sydney. Dr. Kalim is dedicated to actively listening to his patients, investing time to understand their desires and requirements, all while maintaining a welcoming demeanor to ensure a comfortable experience at the dentist's office.

    Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Kalim enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his dog. He also likes to watch movies, travel, and swim (when the weather permits!).

  • Dr. Pawan Nyachhyon

    General Dentist

    Dr. Pawan Nyachhyon received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Sindh in 1998. After being licensed as a dentist in Alberta, he began practicing general dentistry at Westmount Dental.

    Dr. Nyachhyon is committed to provide quality dental care for the well-being of his patients. His distinctive blend of artistic and technical dexterity has succeeded to create a long-lasting smile in many patients.

    While an active member of Canadian Dental Association and Alberta Dental Association, he is a stanch supporter of lifetime learning to stay abreast with current trends in dentistry in order to improve his patient’s oral health.

    Dr. Nyachhyon loves to read, travel, and listen to the music. He volunteers in his community events, and in spare time he enjoys swimming, yoga, and spending time with his wife and children.

  • Dr. Rosen Karanov

    General Dentist

    Dr. Karanov grew up in Edmonton and graduated from Ross Sheppard High School right across the street from Westmount Dental Centre.

    He attended the University of Alberta for his undergraduate education, and in 2016 moved to sunny Australia to pursue his dental training in tropical North Queensland.

    Dr. Karanov spent years working close to the Great Barrier Reef, as well as practicing in Tasmania and the Western Australian Outback.

    He's spent most of his career in rural areas working with difficult cases and complicated dental histories, giving him the scope and confidence to provide a catered plan of care along the entire spectrum of patient needs.

    He recently moved back to his familiar community of Edmonton and is now enjoying all the city has to offer.

    Outside the office he enjoys staying active in many ways including riding motorcycles on road and off-road trails.

  • Dr. Maryam Abtahi

    General Dentist

    Dr Abtahi is a General Dentist who received her first dental degree from University of Sharjah in Dubai, and a second dental degree from University of Alberta in 2020.

    Beyond dentistry, Dr Abtahi has three master degrees in business from Silicon Valley, and Dubai.

    She enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry and takes time to educate her patients about their oral health and options available to them.

    During her spare time, Dr Abtahi loves to read poetry, go for walks and spend time with her family.

    Dr. Abtahi is fluent in English, Farsi and can get by with Spanish.

  • Dr. Dunia Draca

    General Dentist

    Dr. Dunia Draca has been in the dental industry since 2013. She initially worked as a dental assistant and receptionist during her undergraduate degree in Medical Science, before graduating from the Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Sydney, Australia in 2017.

    Dr. Draca strives to provide high-quality, comprehensive and long-lasting dentistry. She believes every person deserves to be pain-free, to eat comfortably and be confident in their smile. Dr. Draca also spent multiple years working in Australia's Aboriginal communities.

    Born and raised on the beaches of Sydney, like most Australians, Dr. Draca has always found a real winter and snow to be exotic. She fell in love with Canada in 2016, when she spent five weeks in Whitehorse, Yukon upon receiving a prize to undertake an international student placement from her university. Dr. Draca is overjoyed to now live in Canada, and she still loves the cold. Out of the office, she enjoys long walks, painting classes and playing with her two cats.

  • Dr. Sherri Ann Van Horne

    General Dentist

    Dr. Sherri-Ann Van Horne is a dedicated and compassionate dentist who believes in empowering her patients through education and personalized care. She graduated from the University of British Columbia, followed by a rigorous one-year residency at Vancouver hospitals, where she gained extensive experience treating medically compromised patients and managing complex cases.

    With a deep passion for giving back, Dr. Van Horne has devoted much of her career to providing volunteer dental care in developing countries. She is committed to making a difference in the lives of her patients, whether through routine care or advanced procedures. From simple treatments to complex cases, she enjoys the full scope of dentistry and ensures her patients feel confident in their care.

    Guided by a patient-centred approach, Dr. Van Horne prioritizes clear communication and education, ensuring every patient understands their treatment options. Her warm and engaging nature fosters an environment where patients feel comfortable and informed every step of the way.
